ABOUT ME
Hi there! My name is Hien (it's defined as generous or nice in Vietnamese!). I’m a passionate senior level visual designer who is always looking for opportunities to grow and further her design knowledge. Some skills that I excel at includes layout composition, typography, print and digital designs, brand identity and knowledge of UI/UX. Beside my design skills, I’m also a fast learner, a team player, a hard worker, a collaborative partner, detail-oriented and is always adaptable. Feel free to take a look at my resumé here.
MY JOURNEY
After high school in 2009, I was trying to pursue a career in Nursing, but along the way, I realized that's not what I'm 100% passionate about. So, I decided to follow my heart and pursued an education in design at San Francisco State University. I've always loved thoughtful and beautiful layouts (magazines, books, websites, etc), so it just makes sense to pursue what I'm truly passionate about.
In June 2016, I had the opportunity to become a Graphic Design Professional Intern at The Walt Disney Company in Burbank, CA, for their Creative Learning Services team. I've met so many influential and inspirational people because of this opportunity, and has learned so much about myself as a designer. It will be an experience I will never forget. After Disney, I became a designer at Pottery Barn for about three years before moving on to Williams Sonoma where I’m now a Senior Graphics Designer for their brand creative team.
